Teneliximab (BMS-224819) is a chimeric monoclonal antibody, blocks the CD40-CD40L interaction. Teneliximab (BMS-224819) has partial agonist activity resulting in some signaling through CD40 and peripheral B cell depletion[1]. In Vitro:The effects of Teneliximab (Chi220, BMS-224819) are not mediated solely through deletion of CD20-bearing cells and that the combined therapy did not significantly impair established antiviral immunity[2].
