Povorcitinib (INCB54707) phosphate is a potent and selective JAK1 inhibitor that effectively reduces abscesses and inflammatory nodules. Povorcitinib phosphate can be used to study cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) and lichen planus (LP) (information extracted from patent WO2021076124A1)[1].
In Vitro:Povorcitinib phosphate regulates the expression of TNF-α and TGF-β, thereby exhibiting anti-inflammatory activity[3].
In Vivo:Povorcitinib phosphate (60 mg/kg, po, twice daily for 16 days) reduces the serum levels of MCP-1, IP-10, IFN-γ, and TNF-α, reduces the expression of liver injury markers alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alleviates liver inflammation and pathological damage in Down Syndrome (DS) carrying Dp16 mouse models, and prolongs the mouse survival rate[4].
