A building block in medicine and organic synthesis. 3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzoic acid exhibits antibacterial activity against S. aureus with MIC of 0.97 μg/mL[1][2]. In Vitro:3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzoic acid can be used for synthesis of derivatives, such as 2,6-diiodo-3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoic acid (DITMBA) and 2-iodo-3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoic acid (ITMBA), which exhibits cytotoxicity and phototoxicity[1].
