L-Pyroglutamic acid (Standard) is the analytical standard of L-Pyroglutamic acid (HY-76082). This product is intended for research and analytical applications. L-Pyroglutamic acid is the levo-isomer of Pyroglutamic acid. L-Pyroglutamic acid is the biologically active enantiomer in humans. Pyroglutamic acid is an intermediate in glutathione metabolism. L-Pyroglutamic acid standard can be used as a biomarker for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)[1]. In Vitro:L-Pyroglutamic acid (0.5 kg/ha, once a week) converts into glutamate in plants, enhances the photosynthesis, maintains the osmotic and water balance, improves antioxidant capacity, thereby exhibiting a protective effect on lettuce under drought stress with promoted yield[2].
