2-Thio-PAF, a synthetic analog of PAF, is used in a colorimetric assay for PAF acetylhydrolases[1]. In Vitro: 2-Thio-PAF induced platelet-aggregation that was inhibited by previous incubation of the substrate with salivary gland homogenates or saliva[1].
