FV-100 is a potent, selective and orally active anti-varicella zoster virus agent. FV-100 is a proagent of CF-1743. FV-100 exhibits very low toxicity in vivo[1][2].
In Vitro: FV-100 is intensely fluorescent when illuminated by wavelengths of 340-380 nm[1].
FV-100 (1 h) produces a different distribution in HeLa cells[1].
In Vivo: FV-100 (50-500 mg/kg; p.o.) does not induce biologically relevant respiratory changes or any apparent neuropharmacological effects in rats[2].
