Methyl behenate (Methyl docosanoate) is a fatty acid methyl ester, can be found in the plant Aspidopterys obcordata Lemsl. Methyl behenate can be used as a phase change material[1][2]. In Vitro:Methyl behenate has excellent solubility for crystal violet lactone (CVL) and bisphenol A (BPA), and possesses the emulsifying ability of cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) and the appropriate phase transition temperature (PCT)[2].
