Sodium laureth sulfate (70% in water) (Sodium lauryl polyoxyethylene ether sulfate) is an anionic active agent with excellent decontamination, emulsification, dispersion, wetting, antifungal and other properties[1][2][3][4].
In Vitro:Sodium laureth sulfate (0.1-2.5 mg/mL, 20 min) combined with plasma-activated water (PAW) enhances the inactivation efficiency against S. cerevisiae cells[2].
Sodium laureth sulfate (0.5 mg/mL, 20 min) combined with PAW causes the formation of holes and wrinkles on the surface of S. cerevisiae cells[2].
Sodium laureth sulfate (0.01-0.5 mg/mL, 20 min) disrupts the membrane integrity, increases cell membrane permeability of S. cerevisiae cells and ROS generation[2].
In Vivo:Sodium laureth sulfate (50 mg/kg, mixed in distilled water, a single dose for 7 or 14 days) elevates the activities of lysosomal enzymes such as ACP, P-glucuronidase, LDH, MDH, ALP, AST and ALT in guinea pigs [4].
