N-(3-Methoxybenzyl-(9z,12z)-octadecadienamide increases the weight-loaded swimming time in mice, and elevates mating frequency, daily sperm production, and epididymal sperm count in rats. N-(3-Methoxybenzyl-(9z,12z)-octadecadienamide is applicable for research in male reproductive physiology and anti-fatigue directions[1]. In Vitro:N-(3-Methoxybenzyl)-(9Z,12Z)-octadecadienamide (Example 5) is obtained by reacting Linoleic acid (HY-N0729) with m-methoxybenzylamine[1]. In Vivo:N-(3-Methoxybenzyl-(9Z,12Z)-octadecadienamide (Example 5) (2.0 mg/kg; p.o.; once daily; 7 days) exhibits significant anti-fatigue activity[1].
N-(3-Methoxybenzyl-(9z,12z)-octadecadienamide (2.0 mg/kg; p.o.; once daily; 21 days) significantly improves the mating ability of castrated male rats[1].
N-(3-Methoxybenzyl)-(9Z,12Z)-octadecadienamide (2.0 mg/kg; p.o.; once daily; 7 days) significantly increases daily sperm production and epididymal sperm count without affecting sperm motility[1].
