Chloroxylenol is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent that can be used to control bacteria, algae, fungi and viruses[1][2].
In Vitro: Chloroxylenol (0-250 μM, 24 or 48 h) inhibits the viability, proliferation, migration and invasion, and sphere formation, and induces apoptosis in HCT116 and SW480 cells by inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway[3].
Chloroxylenol (0-250 μM, 24 h) inhibits nuclear translocation of β-catenin in HCT116 and SW480 cells[3].
Chloroxylenol (0-250 μM, 7 days) inhibits the growth of CRC organoids[3].
In Vivo: Chloroxylenol (5 mg/kg, i.p., on days 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10) inhibits tumor growth in MC38 cell xenograft model[3].
