1,3-Dimethyluracil is a pyridine derivative of Uracil (HY-I0960). 1,3-Dimethyluracil is occasionally found in human urine. 1,3-Dimethyluracil exhibits inhibitory activity against hCA I and hCA II, with Ki values of 316.2 μM and 166.4 μM, respectively. 1,3-Dimethyluracil can be used for Parkinson's disease research[1][2]. In Vitro:1,3-Dimethyluracil (Compound 8), as a competitive inhibitor, exerts weak inhibitory effects on the esterase activities of human cytosolic carbonic anhydrase isozymes I and II purified from human red blood cells[2].
