Glycol salicylate is a derivative of salicylic acid that effectively moisturizes the stratum corneum and improves the aesthetic appearance of the skin[1][2]. In Vitro:Glycol salicylate is hygroscopic, and the human epidermal flux of the hydrated solution is 10 times higher than that of the pure solution. The hydrated solution of Glycol salicylate has a higher diffusion rate in the stratum corneum, and there is a physiologically induced self-enhancement effect in the absorption in vivo[2].
