Dienestrol is an orally active nonsteroidal estrogen. Dienestrol prevents the formation of implantation swellings in the uterus by inhibiting ovum discharge[1][2]. In Vivo:Dienestrol (0.05-1 mg/kg; p.o.; different stages of pseudopregnancy; single dose) reduces the decidual response of the uterus to injury in pseudopregnant rats[2].
