Diphenyl Phosphate inhibits growth and energy metabolism in zebrafish and mice in a sex-specific manner. Diphenyl Phosphate can inhibit the activity of SDH (respiratory complex II), reduce the expression of CPT1 and disrupts the integrity of the mitochondrial membrane. Diphenyl Phosphate may be used in research on metabolic diseases[1][2]. IC50 & Target:Succinate Dehydrogenase (SDH); Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1 (CPT1) In Vivo:Diphenyl Phosphate (2 or 200 mg/kg, s.c., once daily for 10 days) has no adverse effects on uterine weight and serum estradiol levels in ICR mice, but causes disturbances in lipid metabolism characteristics[2]. Chronic exposure to DPhP (0.8-35.6 μg/L, exposure for 120 days) can retard growth in male zebrafish by inhibiting energy output[1].
