Introduction of 82611-88-9 :

N-Ethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)-m-anisidine sodium (ESPA) is a Trinder's reagent and a highly water-soluble aniline derivative. N-Ethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)-m-anisidine sodium has a relatively high absorption wavelength at 540 nm and can be widely used in diagnostic tests and biochemical experiments[1][2]. In Vitro:N-Ethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)-m-anisidine sodium can be used for the detection of glycerol content. Catalyzed by peroxidase (POD), N-Ethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)-m-anisidine sodium can undergo a coupling reaction with hydrogen peroxide and 4-aminoantipyrine to produce a purple dye. The amount of the purple dye generated is related to the initial content of glycerol in the system. By measuring the absorbance of the purple dye at a specific wavelength (540 nm) using colorimetry, the concentration of glycerol can be indirectly determined[2].
