Introduction of 80321-63-7 :

Gynostemma Extract (Gypenoside IX) is a triterpenoid saponin. Gynostemma Extract can be isolated from Panax notoginseng. Gynostemma Extract reduces NFκB nuclear translocation and transcriptional activity by inhibiting the p38 MAPK/Akt/NFκB signaling pathway. Gynostemma Extract reduces the expression of cytokines (COX-2, IL-6) and the production of NO. Gynostemma Extract has anti-inflammatory activity. Gynostemma Extract can be used in the study of liver injury and neuroinflammation[1][2]. In Vitro:Gynostemma Extract (3.125-50 μM; 24 h) shows no cytotoxicity on C6 cells[2].
Gynostemma Extract (3.125-50 μM; 2 h) dose-dependently reduces NO production in C6 cells stimulated by LPS and TNF-α, with an IC50 of around 25 μM [2].
In Vivo:Gynostemma Extract (30 mg/kg; i.p.) reduces the production of TNF-α, IL-6, and iNOS at protein levels, alleviates astrogliosis, and impedes the elevation of GFAP in brain cortex of LPS-induced C57BL/6 mice[2].
