Sulfachloropyridazine is a broad spectrum sulfonamide that can be used against both gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria as well as Chlamydia. Sulfachloropyridazine is also considered as a common pollutant in surface and groundwater. Sulfachloropyridazine via electro-Fenton is a model for sulfonamide antibiotics that are widespread in waters[1].
In Vitro:Sulfachloropyridazine (Compound SCP) (0.21 mM, 15 min) significantly inhibits luminescence of V. fisheri bacteria[1].
Sulfachloropyridazine has EC50 of 1.96 mg/L and 53.7 mg/L toward E. coli and V. fischeri[1].
