10-Deacetyltaxol

10-Deacetyltaxol (10-Deacetylpaclitaxel) is a taxane derivative found in Taxus wallichiana Zucc. and exhibits cytotoxicity against human neurotumor cell lines. It shows a concentration-dependent cytotoxic effect on cancer cells and demonstrates activity in the mouse leukemia system. 10-Deacetyltaxol can be used for research on neuroblastoma, glioblastoma multiforme, and lymphocytic leukemia^[1][2][3]. In Vitro:10-Deacetyltaxol (10-Deacetylpaclitaxel) (0.1-10.0 μg/mL; 1-24 h) exerts concentration-dependent cytotoxicity in human SK-N-AS and SK-N-FI neuroblastoma cells and human VA-MG-SL and U-373-MG glioblastoma cells, with SK-N-AS being the most sensitive and SK-N-FI the most resistant of the four lines^[2].
10-Deacetyltaxol exerts potent cytotoxic effects on KB carcinoma cells, with an ED₅₀ of 2.7×10^-2 μg/mL^[3]. In Vivo:10-Deacetyltaxol (10-Deacetylpaclitaxel) (16 mg/kg; p.o.) shows in vivo anti-lymphocytic leukemia activity, producing a 135% T/C at 16 mg/kg in the PS mouse model^[3].
