Introduction of 7728-40-7 :

Monoethylglycinexylidide (MEGX; Norlidocaine) is the major metabolite of Lidocaine (HY-B0185), produced via oxidative metabolism by cytochrome P-450 enzymes in the liver. Monoethylglycinexylidide can be used for research on liver cirrhosis[1][2]. In Vivo:Monoethylglycinexylidide (MEGX) (the transdermal metabolite of Lidocaine (HY-B0185); samples are collected 90-480 min after 60 min of facial occlusive application) remains detectable in plasma even 480 min after removal of the topical preparation[1].
Monoethylglycinexylidide shows significantly higher peak plasma concentration induced by 2.5% lidocaine/2.5% prilocaine eutectic mixture than single 4% lidocaine cream and 6% lidocaine compound preparation. Impaired liver metabolic function leads to increased residual levels of Monoethylglycinexylidide in plasma[1].
Monoethylglycinexylidide (MEGX) (formed within 0-90 min after intravenous administration of 1 mg/kg Lidocaine) shows no statistically significant difference in plasma concentrations between healthy control samples and samples from patients with mild, moderate, or severe chronic viral liver injury. Multiple extrahepatic interfering factors disrupt its formation process and reduce detection accuracy[2].
