Enalaprilat (MK-422 anhydrous), the active metabolite of the oral prodrug Enalapril, is a potent, competitive and long-acting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, with an IC50 of 1.94 nM. Enalaprilat can be used for the research of hypertension[1][2][3]. IC50 & Target: IC50: 1.94 nM (ACE)[1] In Vitro: Enalaprilat (1 nM-10 μM; 24 h) attenuates the IGF-I induced neonatal rat cardiac fibroblast growth (30% reduction) in a concentration-dependent fashion, with an IC50 of 90 mM[2]. In Vivo: Enalaprilat (0.01%-2.9% in the eyedrop solution) shows significant intraocular pressure (IOP)-lowering effect in rabbits[3].
