Hydrocortisone aceponate (Hydrocortisone 17-propionate 21-acetate) is a diester-based topical glucocorticoid. Hydrocortisone aceponate alleviates symptoms such as erythema, dryness/desquamation, pruritus, epidermal exfoliation, and exudation/crusting. Hydrocortisone aceponate causes extremely few adverse reactions. Hydrocortisone aceponate is applicable to various dermatological disease studies[1][2]. In Vitro:Hydrocortisone aceponate exerts weaker inhibitory effects on proliferation, collagen synthesis, and total protein synthesis of human skin fibroblasts than an equivalent dose of Betamethasone valerate (HY-B0727)[1]. In Vivo:Hydrocortisone aceponate (0.0584% spray; 260 µL/100 cm2; topical administration; once daily for 56 consecutive days) causes no significant skin thinning, histopathological abnormalities or local adverse reactions in healthy female Beagle dogs[1].
