Phosphocreatine disodium tetrahydrate, primarily found in the skeletal muscles of vertebrates and one of organic compounds known as alpha amino acids and derivatives, is a substrate for the determination of creatine kinase and used to regenerate ATP during skeletal muscle contraction[1]. In Vitro:Sodium creatine phosphate dibasic tetrahydrate is a substrate for creatine phosphokinase (CPK) that generates ATP. When muscle or myocardial cells are damaged, the permeability of their cell membranes increases, causing cellular contents—including CPK—to be released into the bloodstream. Consequently, elevated levels of CPK in the blood typically indicate that these cells have sustained injury or damage.
