Aromadendrane-4β,10α-diol is a sesquiterpene alcohol. Aromadendrane-4β,10α-diol significantly ameliorates the Aβ1-42 peptide-induced memory impairment. Aromadendrane-4β,10α-diol can be used for Alzheimer's disease (AD) research[1]. In Vivo:Aromadendrane-4β,10α-diol (1 μg/mouse, i.c.v.) significantly increases the activity of antioxidant enzymes (glutathione, GSH) and decreases of lipid peroxidation in Aβ1-42 (400 pmol/mouse, i.c.v.) mice[1].
