4-Chlorodiphenyl ether is an estrogen-mimicking active compound. 4-Chlorodiphenyl ether maintains the survival of endometriotic cysts and exhibits estrogenic activity associated with the growth of endometriotic implants. 4-Chlorodiphenyl ether can be used in research related to endometriosis[1].
In Vivo:4-Chlorodiphenyl ether (10-150 mg/kg/day; subcutaneous injection; daily administration for 28 consecutive days) dose-dependently increases the survival rate of endometriotic cysts in ovariectomized B6C3F1 mice. The cyst survival rate reaches 60% in the 150 mg/kg/day group, which is significantly higher than that in the vehicle control group. In addition, the highest dose alters the activity of hepatic microsomal enzymes[1].
4-Chlorodiphenyl ether (68 nmol/kg; intravenous injection; single administration) is rapidly cleared from the blood of rays, mainly accumulates in the liver with slow elimination, and has a total body clearance rate of 4.05 mL·min−1·kg−1[2].
