Bayogenin is a triterpenoid saponin and one of the main components of Medicago sativa saponins. Bayogenin is an inhibitor of glycogen phosphorylase[1][2]. In Vitro:Bayogenin exhibits moderate inhibitory activity against rabbit muscle glycogen phosphorylase a (RMGPa) with an IC50 of 68 μM[2].
