In Vitro: Sulfadiazine 100 µg/mL in methanol is associated with low sensitivity linked to the novel R265H and I347M mutations in the dhps gene of Toxoplasma gondii strains TgCTBr4 and TgCTBr17^[3]. In Vivo: Sulfadiazine (10-640 mg/kg/d; p.o.; daily for 10 days) 100 µg/mL in methanol reduced the number of brain cysts in mice infected with T. gondii (TgCTBr) except for TgCTBr4^[3].
