BG-NH2 (SNAP-NH2) is an O6-alkylguanine cofactor and an amine-terminated building block. BG-NH2 serves as a key intermediate for the synthesis of various functionalized SNAP-tag fluorescent/functional substrates[1][2]. In Vitro: BG-NH2 and its derivatives undergo specific, covalent reactions with SNAP-tag proteins or SNAPR ribozymes. Since the amino group on BG-NH2 serves as a universal conjugation site, researchers can conveniently conjugate any molecule containing an NHS ester or other amine-reactive group (such as fluorescent dyes of different wavelengths, biotin, crosslinkers, click chemistry handles, etc.) to it, thus rapidly constructing a large library of SNAP-tag/SNAPR substrates[1][2].
