N-Feruloyloctopamine (N-trans-Feruloyloctopamine) is an antioxidant component that can be isolated from garlic skin. N-Feruloyloctopamine can inhibit tumor cell proliferation and invasion, and induce apoptosis. N-Feruloyloctopamine has antitumor activity and can be used in the research of tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma[1][2]. In Vitro:N-Feruloyloctopamine (0.1-50 mM; 0-72 h) can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of Huh7 (48 h IC50 of 1.99 mM) and HCCLM3 (48 h IC50 of 2.27 mM) cells. The mechanism involves EMT, PI3K/Akt and p38 MAPK signaling pathways[1].
