Alendronate acid is an orally active bisphosphonate which binds to bone surfaces and inhibits bone resorption by osteoclasts. Alendronate acid induces skeletal alterations in the chicken embryonic development model. Alendronate acid can be used for osteoporosis research[1][2][3]. In Vivo: Alendronate (1.5E−10-1.5E−7 M, intra-air cell injection, single dose at embryonic day 7, exposure for 4 days) acid induces skeletal alterations in the chicken embryonic development model[3].
