Methoxy-PMS (1-Methoxy PMS), an active oxygen formation inducer, is stable electron-transport mediator between NAD(P)H and tetrazolium dyes[1][2]. In Vitro: Methoxy-PMS has no cytotoxicity in the cell culture media. Methoxy-PMS receives an electron from NADH or NADPH at the membrane or inside of the cell and passes the electron to the WST-8 that is around the outer cell membrane[2].
