Pareptide monohydrochloride is a melanotropin-inhibiting factor (MIF) metabolically stable analogue. In Vivo: Chronic coadministration of Pareptide (0.25 mg/kg, SC, BID, 3.5 days) to mice pretreated with Haloperidol (8.0 mg/kg, IP, BID, 3 days) significantly increases the cataleptic effects of a smaller challenge dose of Haloperidol (2.0 mg/kg, IP) given 15 hours after the last pretreatment injections (p<0.01)[1].
