In Vitro: 3,4-Dimethylbenzoic acid is oxidised by 4-methylbenzoate (p-toluate)-grown cells of Rhodococcus rhodochrous N75 via the ortho-pathway through the intermediates 3,4-dimethylcatechol[1].
