In Vivo: Glycerol phenylbutyrate (GPB) has the potential for the treatment of hyperammonemia. Glycerol phenylbutyrate (GPB) may have therapeutic potential in additional conditions such as chronic hepatic encephalopathy or other inherited metabolic disorders[1][2].
