2-Methylresorcinol is a tripyrrane analog. 2-Methylresorcinol is a cosmetic ingredient with endocrine activity. 2-Methylresorcinol combined with Butylhydroxyanisole (HY-B1066) and Avobenzone (HY-B0316) has anti-glucocorticoid-like activity. 2-Methylresorcinol combined with Avobenzone only has anti-androgen-like activity. 2-Methylresorcinol can be used as for cosmetic industry[1][2].
