Introduction of 59981-63-4 :

Spinacine ((S)-Spinacine) is a GABA uptake inhibitor. Spinacine enhances synaptic GABA effects via inhibition of gamma-aminobutyric acid uptake in cerebral cortex slices. Spinacine inhibits reflex responses of ventral roots in isolated spinal cord. Spinacine inhibits motor activity and reduces approaches to water dispensers in conflict situations. Spinacine raises pain sensitivity threshold via subarachnoidal injection[1][2]. In Vitro:Spinacine inhbits GABA uptake by rat cerebral cortex with an IC50 of 30 μM[1].
Spinacine (0.1 mM) inhibits the re-
flex responses of the ventral roots of the isolated spinal cord[1]. In Vivo:Spinacine (10 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose) reduces motor activity, decreasing horizontal movements and approaches to a water dispenser in a conflict situation test, while the number of drinkings of water unchanged in rats[1].
Spinacine (3 mg/kg; subarachnoidal; single dose) increases rats' pain sensitivity threshold by 1.5-2-fold for 1 hour[1].
Spinacine (100 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose) has no detectable effect on white mice motor activity, orientative behavior, corazole-induced convulsions, or muscle tone[1].
Spinacine (100 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose) does not exhibit analgesic activity in mice tested via mechanical tail compression[1].
