Introduction of 58-97-9 :

Uridine 5'-monophosphate (5'-Uridylic acid) is an orally active mitochondrial ATP-dependent potassium channel activator that has a protective effect on the heart. Uridine 5'-monophosphate can promote the synthesis of CDP-choline and induce apoptosis in intestinal epithelial cells, which is beneficial for gut development and reduces diarrhea[1][2][3]. In Vitro:Uridine 5'-monophosphate (10 mM; 6 h) promotes late apoptosis in pig intestinal epithelial cells IPEC-J2[1]. In Vivo:Uridine 5'-monophosphate (476 mg; oral; daily; 10 days) promotes apoptosis and renewal of intestinal villus tip epithelial cells in pigs, which benefits gut development and reduces the rate of diarrhea[1].
Uridine 5'-monophosphate (0.02-1 mmol/kg; i.g.; single dose) can enhance the synthesis of CDP-choline in the brains of gerbils[2].
Uridine 5'-monophosphate (30 mg/kg; i.v.; single dose) has protective properties for the heart in rats, preventing ischemic injury and some arrhythmias[3].
