D-α-Tocopherol acetate (D-Vitamin E acetate) can be hydrolyzed to d-alpha-tocopherol (VE) and absorbed in the small intestine[1].
In Vitro:α-Tocopherol acetate (5-30 μg/mL, 24 h) inhibits LPS (HY-D1056)-induced production of NO, prostaglandin E2 (HY-101952) and pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL-1β and IL-6) in mouse peritoneal macrophages[2].
α-Tocopherol acetate (30 μg/mL, 24 h) exhibits a slight suppression on the activation of NF-κB p50 and p65[2].
