1'-Hydroxy bufuralol is the main metabolite of Bufuralol (HY-105124) by the cytochrome P450 isoenzymes 2D1 and 2D2 (CYP2D1/2). 1'-Hydroxy bufuralol can be used to determine CYP2D1/2 enzyme activity[1][2]. In Vitro: Bufuralol is a potent non-selective, orally active β-adrenoreceptor antagonist with partial agonist activity. Bufuralol is widely used in the characterization of CYP2D6 activity, and possesses aromatic rings and a basic nitrogen that are characteristic of CYP2D6 substrates.
