Flavonol is a cholinesterase (ChE) inhibitor, with an IC50 value of 120 μM and a Ki value of 74 μM. Flavonol has antioxidant, free radical-scavenging, antibacterial properties, and immune modulation functions. Flavonol inhibits the PriA helicase of Staphylococcus aureus. Flavonol can suppress the production of NO in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells by inhibiting the expression of the iNOS enzyme. Flavonol shows protective and analgesic effects in mice through various neuronal pathways. Flavonol can be used in research related to tumors and atherosclerosis diseases[1][2][3][4]. IC50 & Target:IC50: 120 μM (ChE)[2]. In Vitro:Flavonol (10-100 μM, 20 h) can inhibit LPS activated RAW 264.7 cells from producing NO by suppressing iNOS enzyme expression, thereby contributing to its anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activities[3]. In Vivo:Flavonol (25-200 mg/kg; 30 min before the testing procedure; s.c.) has anti-injury and analgesic effects in mice through neuronal pathways such as the dopaminergic system and GABAergic pathway[4]. Flavonol can reduce the atherosclerotic lesion area in apolipoprotein E deficient mice[5].
