D-Fructose (D(-)-Fructose) is a monosaccharide found in honey, fruits, and other plants. Two D-Fructose molecules can combine to form a disaccharide, sucrose[1][2]. In Vivo:When D-Fructose is ingested orally, it is initially absorbed by the small intestine and then flows through the liver. The concentration of D-Fructose is higher in the liver and lower in the blood vessels[2].
