Nitraquazone (TVX 2706) is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent, belonging to the derivatives of Phenylbutazone (HY-B0230). Nitraquazone inhibits phosphodiesterase and enhances the elevation of intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate levels. Nitraquazone can be used in research related to anti-inflammation and analgesia[1][2].
In Vitro:Nitraquazone significantly enhances effector-induced intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate levels in C6-BU-1 rat glioma cells, 108CC15 neuroblastoma×glioma hybrid cells, primary rat embryonic brain cell cultures, and rat cerebral cortical slices, with an EC50 of 0.4 μM in hybrid cells[1].
Nitraquazone inhibits the activities of high-affinity and low-affinity cyclic adenosine monophosphate phosphodiesterases in the homogenate of 108CC15 neuroblastoma×glioma hybrid cells via non-competitive inhibition[1].
Nitraquazone (10 μM) preferentially inhibits the activity of high-affinity cyclic adenosine monophosphate phosphodiesterase in homogenates of rat polymorphonuclear leukocytes[1].
