Aviglycine hydrochloride (ABG-3168) is an inhibitor of ethylene biosynthesis. The use of Aviglycine hydrochloride (ABG-3168) delays the natural flowering of pineapples, reduces fruit drop, and maintains fruit firmness[1][2].
In Vitro:Aviglycine hydrochloride (1 mM, 10 min) is a competitive inhibitor for ethylene biosynthesis, that reduces the synthesis of ethylene, delays the postharvest ripening of tomato fruits and extends the shelf life of the fruits[1].
Aviglycine hydrochloride is the inhibitor for cystathionine β-lyase (CBL) and cystathionine γ-lyase (CGL) with Ki of 1.1 μM and 10.5 μM[3].
