1-Octacosanol is a straight-chain aliphatic 28-carbon fatty alcohol and a major component of the cholesterol-lowering agent Policosanol. 1-Octacosanol exhibits various activities such as anti-fatigue, anti-angiogenic, cholesterol-lowering, and insecticidal effects[1][2][3]. In Vivo:1-Octacosanol (80-1000 ppm) has insecticidal activity against Spodoptera frugiperda[2].
