DL-Tyrosine is an aromatic nonessential amino acid synthesized from the essential amino acid phenylalanine. DL-Tyrosine is a precursor for several important neurotransmitters (epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine)[1]. In Vitro: D-Tyrosine (5 nM-200 μM, 24 h) inhibits the formation of biofilm in Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Bacillus subtilis, exhibits antibacterial activity[2].
