D-Mannosamine ((2S,3R,4S,5R)-2-Amino-3,4,5,6-tetrahydroxyhexanal) hydrochloride is a six-carbon amino sugar and an amino derivative of D-mannose. D-Mannosamine hydrochloride can block mannose receptors[1]. In Vitro:D-Mannosamine hydrochloride (50 mM; 1 h) can significantly reduce the cellular uptake level of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) modified with DMG-PEG2000-Mannose in DC2.4 cells, thereby confirming that DMG-PEG2000-Mannose mediates the targeted uptake of LNPs through mannose receptors[1].
