Isonicotinic acid is a pyridine carboxylic acid compound and also a metabolite of Isoniazid (HY-B0329). Derivatives of Isonicotinic acid exhibit antiviral activity against influenza viruses[1][2]. In Vitro:Isonicotinic acid bears a carboxyl group at the para-position of its pyridine ring, and serves as a core intermediate for the preparation of various pyridyl functional derivatives.
