Moxisylyte (Thymoxamine) is a selective α1A-adrenergic receptor antagonist. Moxisylyte competitively antagonizes the activation mediated by norepinephrine. Moxisylyte relaxes penile cavernous smooth muscle and aids erectile function. Moxisylyte is applicable to research related to erectile dysfunction and multiple system atrophy[1][2]. In Vitro:Moxisylyte (100 nM-10 μM) exerts a concentration-dependent relaxant effect on isolated human corpus cavernosum tissues contracted by norepinephrine, and acts as a competitive α-adrenergic receptor antagonist at a concentration of 1 μM[1].
