Eucatropine hydrochloride is a potent muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (mAChR) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 0.583 μM. Eucatropine hydrochloride acts as an anticholinergic agent. Eucatropine hydrochloride produces behavioral effects via central cholinergic receptive sites in cats[1][2]. In Vivo:Eucatropine hydrochloride (0.2-2.0 mg; i.c.v.; single injection) produces mild, short-lasting inconsistent emotional changes, consistent mydriasis and tachypnea, consistent ataxia, no impelling locomotion, and near-undetectable fighting behavior in unanesthetized cats[1].
