Cyanidin Chloride (IdB 1027) is an orally active antioxidant and enzyme inhibitor. Cyanidin Chloride has IC50 values of 90 μM and 60 μM against PGHS-1 and PGHS-2, respectively. Cyanidin Chloride exhibits excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, scavenges free radicals, inhibits lipid peroxidation, and protects DNA from cleavage. Cyanidin Chloride can be used in the research of inflammatory diseases[1][2][3].
In Vitro:Cyanidin (2 μM; 21 min) Chloride inhibits lipid peroxidation in a liposomal model system with 57% inhibition at 2 μM, showing antioxidant activity comparable to commercial antioxidants BHA and BHT and superior to vitamin E[2].
Cyanidin (5-30 μM) Chloride scavenges DPPH radicals in a concentration-dependent manner[3].
Cyanidin (0.1-1 μM) Chloride scavenges O2− radicals in a concentration-dependent manner[3].
Cyanidin (100-400 μM) Chloride protects DNA from H2O2-induced damage[3].
In Vivo:Cyanidin Chloride (IdB 1027) protects against OVX-induced bone loss in OVX-induced osteoporosis mouse model[1].
