3,4-Dichloroisocoumarin

3,4-Dichloroisocoumarin is a potent serine-protease and SrLip inhibitor (K_i for SrLip: 26.6 μM). 3,4-Dichloroisocoumarin is opened by serine proteases and then undergoes acylation with the enzyme, thereby inhibiting protease activity. 3,4-Dichloroisocoumarin can induce DNA fragmentation and Apoptosis. 3,4-Dichloroisocoumarin can be used in the research of multiple fields such as tumors, cardiovascular disease and enzyme catalytic mechanisms^{[1][2][3][4][5]}. In Vitro:3,4-Dichloroisocoumarin (1 mM, 4-6 h) induces oligonucleosomal DNA fragmentation in cell lines expressing high levels of protease activity (such as LAK, NK-92 cells, etc.)^[1]. In Vivo:3,4-Dichloroisocoumarin (2 mg/kg; i.v.; once; 20 min before coronary occlusion) significantly reduces the percentage of DNA fragmentation in the infarcted area but does not reduce the myocardial infarct size in a myocardial ischemia-reperfusion model of Japanese white rabbits^[5].
